A functional floor can be beautiful too.
The better news is: It needs very little maintenance, and it's very easy to clean too.

Woodline Parquetry  |   Laminated Flooring  |  Allure

We never know when accidents can happen.
Can our conventional carpet take this?
Can natural timber flooring be as stain-resistant as this?
Well, let's put it this way. Such accidents cannot be avoided totally, and when they happen, our floor had better be ready to take on the challenge or we will be left with an unsightly stain on the floor.

With Inovar Floor ®, these worries are a thing of the past.
Almost maintenance-free, Inovar Floor ® is easy to clean as well. Light vacuuming or light mopping with plain water will do the job just fine. Mud, soil, grease or fruit juice do not leave stains on the surface, and can normally be cleaned with common floor cleaning detergents. Stubborn stains are not a problem, either. We have the solution for you!

Where can I lay wooden flooring?

  • Living and Family Rooms - Wood Floors work well in both Living and Family rooms.
  • Dining Rooms - Wood Floors work well in Dining rooms.
  • Bathrooms - A bathroom that receives daily use would not fare well with wood floors, due to continued moisture exposure and is not recommended at all.
  • Passages - Wood Floors work well in high traffic areas.
  • Kitchens - Wood Floors work well in kitchens but at Inovar we use a product called "Click-Guard" to ensure that the joints between the boards are well sealed as we know there is a little extra water around.
  • Bedrooms - Wood Floors work well in bedrooms.
  • Home offices / Offices - Wood Floors work well in Offices as long as you install the correct floor for the correct application.
  • Corporate - as long as you install the correct class floor for the intended purpose, wood floors enhance any business. Be sure you don't get caught out with a lower classified floor for your business

Cleaning:

Do not pour water directly onto the floor during cleaning. The surface of laminate flooring is designed for easy maintenance, cleaning can simply be done with a slightly damp cloth or vacuuming. Laminate flooring does not stain easily, and almost all stains can be removed with suitable household cleaning agents. Do not use any Ammonia based cleaning products.
It is advisable to use a doormat at main entrances to protect the floor and to keep it clean.

Caring for your wood flooring - ALL types.

  • Place Protector pads on ALL furniture legs on wood floor - especially furniture that you move a lot e.g.: chairs. When moving heavy furniture, lift it - do not drag it.
  • Place runners and carpets in high traffic areas (make sure they stay dry and are cleaned underneath often). Frequently accessed areas / entrances should be protected with a door mat to keep away coarse grit, dirt and stones.
  • Remove dust and dirt with a broom, vacuum cleaner or an absorbent cloth.
  • For a slightly dirty floor, use a moist cloth. Do not use detergent as a damp cloth will do the job just fine. In the case of laminates, floor wax and polish are unable to penetrate the surface of the floor. Hence it is not recommended at all that you polish or wax your laminate floor.
  • Perform routine cleaning as described above as a regularly scheduled event, and stick to it. Always perform this process before and after a major event that involves a high volume of traffic on the floor.
  • Keep high heel shoes in good repairs , as well as keeping your pets nails trimmed on a regular bases
  • Stubborn stains like grease, tar, mud, shoe / nail polish etc. can be spot cleaned with special cleaning agents. Liquid or water spilled should be removed as soon as possible.
  • Put UV filter / sheer / curtain / blinds on windows in areas where there is direct exposure to sunlight.
  • As wood is a living material (inherent hygroscopic properties), gaps can appear on joints between floor boards due to seasonal variation, under floor heating or exposure to excessive water.
  • If electrical or hot water under floor heating is used, please consult with your Inovar Branch on specifications and procedures.

NEVER:

  • Use WET string or sponge mops
  • Use ammonia based detergents
  • Use dust cleaners
  • Leave dirt on the floor - clean immediately
  • Use cleaning products designed for other floors.
